Sport areas with synthetic turf systems – Usage of factory made shockpads
The DIN SPEC 91335 “Sport areas with synthetic turf systems – Usage of factory made shockpads” will be published in October 2013.
The DIN SPEC 91335 contains in conformity with the presently updated DIN 18035-7 a further possibility on how sports fields can be fitted using synthetic turf systems. While DIN SPEC 91335 defines the requirements on synthetic turf systems in connection with the usage of prefabricated elastic layers, DIN 18035-7 focuses on elastic layers that are made on site.
DIN SPEC 91335 facilitates the implementation of DIN EN 15330-1 by describing the requirements and recommendations on layers applied underneath the synthetic turf surface if prefabricated elastic layers are used. Users are informed about the requirements regarding the building ground, the sub base and the elastic layer, so that sports fields built of synthetic turf by applying prefabricated elastic layers are durable and of high quality.
DIN SPEC 91335 has been developed by experts, manufacturers of synthetic turf, infill, elastic layers and raw materials, representatives of testing institutions, sports facility contractors, system manufacturers and users.
The DIN SPEC 91335 will be presented at this year’s international industry trade fair ”Amenity Areas, Sports, and Pool Facilities” (Freiraum, Sport- und Bäderanlagen FSB) in Cologne (October 22-25, 2013) at the synthetic turf and outdoor sport and leisure facilities forum held on Thursday, October 24, 2013 between 10:00 AM and 1:30 PM.
