SAPCA Awards 2022 – Category: Sustainability at Raydale Park Stadium Gretna FC
The Sportex Group has won the SAPCA Awards 2022 with the construction of a new 3G pitch at Gretna FC at Raydale Park Stadium with the help of our shock pads in sustainability. This involved reusing an eight year old ProGame shock pad. Reason for this was a limited budget. Our shock pad, which was used here, was previously taken from an existing pitch in Edinburgh and stored for reuse.
The new natural pitch at the home of Gretna FC meets FIFA Quality Pro standards.
Each year, SAPCA members are invited to submit entries to celebrate their successes, whether it a new product or service, a technical innovation, a completed project, a research project or an achievement in sustainability.
We are very proud that our shock pads was so successful in helping us win this year, and look forward with equanimity to a sustainable future in the sports sector.
