EN 15330-4 – new European standard for shock pads published!
Since years the European artificial turf sports market relies on the EN 15330 norm for synthetic turf pitches.
Part 1 of the standard specifies the performance, durability, product identification and facility testing requirements for synthetic turf sports surfaces used primarily outdoors and is a common standard for public tenders.
Now with part 4, the CEN published a future common standard for high-quality shock pads, pre-formed or on-site insitu installed, for all European countries. The new European Standard EN 15330-4 for shock pads, which is largely based on the guideline ESTC produced a few years ago, has now been issued by CEN to each of the national standardization organizations. Each country now has 6 months to translate, if they wish, and publish the standard.
Abstract: This document specifies minimum performance and durability requirements for shock pads used within synthetic turf and textile sports surfacing systems. The document also specifies appropriate performance tolerance for production and on-site quality control procedures.
All ProGame shock pads are now under testing according to the new standard, and certificates will be available quickly.
